Kudos call3/2/2023 ![]() ![]() Everyone has been awesome since our transfer – I’m so glad we chose Community Link!” However, their services were big city with mortgage, auto, and other loans and services. When I ended at Community Link, it reminded me of the very small town bank I grew up with. I researched every bank and credit union in the area and narrowed it down to three. When the bank that we had been with since the 90s was bought out, we decided it was time to change our provider. She and everyone else were patient, professional, kind, quick but thorough, never pushy, and I truly feel that I have put my trust in exactly the right place. Jill Simcoe and the staff were beyond incredible. I couldn’t be more satisfied with this credit union.”Īs the result of a divorce, I had to make changes in my mortgage and my banking rapidly. There’s just no other place I would rather do business.” And they get the job done right every time. And my answer is simple: It just wouldn’t be the same. I don’t even live in the area anymore, and I have often been asked why I don’t just find a bank or credit union close to me. If I ever have questions, want to inquire about a new venture, or whatever the case may be, I know that all I have to do is ask and I am provided with a caring person ready to set aside time for me. The staff has always be a cut above the rest. I have been a member at Community Link since 1995, when I was a teenager. They are always very caring toward us and our children.” The rest of the ladies are wonderful also. She is the best loan officer, and I believe it is her calling and she is answering it. I call Jill a “miracle worker.” She manages to find a way to help out those that are struggling. I’ve never left without a smile on my face! Realtimes video player3/2/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() If you love sharing photos and videos with your Facebook friends, RealTimes is great. Whether or not you'll need RealTimes comes down to how social you are. RealTimes sets out to help you organize your mess of photos on your computer, tablet, or phone and it works well. A simple solution for organizing your photos and videos I created a four minute long Story that took over 30 minutes to export on my iPad. During my testing, RealTimes for Android kept crashing when trying to add my own music but I was using a pre-release version.Īnother problem I found was that longer Stories took a long time to export. You can also do a voice over for your video for a personal touch. Speaking of music, there's a ton of stock music included in the app but you can add your own music if you want. It's not going to unlock everything like a subscription but it does give you a few more features. Subscribers also get the ability to make longer Stories.įor those who don't want to pay monthly, there is a $1 in-app purchase to unlock the ability to add more photos, change music, and remove the RealTimes watermark. the $5 per month subscription nets you 25GB of cloud storage while the $10 per month plan gets you unlimited storage. Subscriptions will get you more storage and features. You can tweak each story before sharing, adding your own music, switching transition effects, or swapping the order of your photos and videos. This feature automatically uploads all your photos and video clips to the cloud and will automatically be made into Stories. Users can get an additional 5GB of storage for enabling Auto Upload in the app. RealTimes is free to use and comes with 2GB of cloud storage for free and are limited to 30 second Stories. This makes revisiting your old photos fun and a hit with your friends. One nice thing about RealTimes is that it scans all of your photos and videos, including ones you forgot about. The app auto-converts the video to each platform using RealPlayer technology. There's no need to export your video to a specific file format. Sharing a Story on Facebook shows up as an embedded video that plays right there in your friends' timeline.ĭuring my testing, Stories created by RealTimes worked flawlessly on my devices. You can still share RealTimes stories with your friends who don't have an account. Thankfully RealTimes doesn't force users into signing up. Your friends and family will be alerted when you add new photos, videos, or create stories. There's also a social network aspect to RealTimes. You're better off adding your own filters from Instagram or VSCO Cam before using them to create Stories in RealTimes. The app also features video filters, but they're all pretty terrible. If you don't like what RealTimes came up with the first time, you can hit the 'Remix' button to randomize that Story. I found the algorithm to work well for the most part but favors faces, excluding some really good shots. ![]() Blurry, dark, or duplicate photos are ignored so your slideshows only include the best. The app uses Real's algorithm that scans your photos to pick the ones that are best. RealTimes takes the tediousness out of compiling photos and videos to share with your friends. ![]() Polar m400 sleep tracker3/2/2023 ![]() ![]() If you’re interested, jump to Polar M400 official site for more details or check out the following demo video first. ![]() The M400 GPS watch comes in two models including with heart rate monitor and without heart rate monitor and costs $249.99 or $199.90 USD. ![]() Large display that allows easy navigation through use of the buttons. Throughout the final set, the crowd was tight but tolerable. I managed to snake my way up to the front again, an easy task now that the audience was largely exhausted from an overhyped start. It was a long, muggy 45 minutes before Tyler came on stage. My lofty expectations for angst were finally met when Smith was handed a pair of electric hair clippers by a stagehand, in order to shave a few patches out of his hair during the opening notes of his bummer-banger track “K.”Īfter hyping Tyler repeatedly and fervently, Smith bounded off stage as the sun sank below the horizon. ![]() Moody videos of ambulances and apathetic expressions were projected against the backdrop as cool lights washed over Smith. Not popping bass kicks, but prolonged, droning hums that would have made Skrillex blush.ĭespite this overwhelming sonic intensity and Smith’s unexpected onstage aggression, the set was still undeniably real sad boy hours. Even from my more relaxed post at the back of the crowd (still incredibly dense), the bass was so loud and rumbling that I could feel it rattle my bones. The wall of sound that washed over the pit was unlike anything I have ever heard. What sort of surreal, brooding experience laid ahead of me? This was one of my most anticipated parts of the night. Not long after, Jaden Smith came on stage for the second opener. ![]() After a blessedly short performance, I made my way to the back of the floor to breathe. GoldLink sounded good, but seeing him over the raised hands and swells of bodies was an impossibility. It’s hard to say much else about the set. The children from the beginning of the set? Nowhere to be seen, but likely not having a great time. My fingers were pruned with other people’s sweat. When all was said and done, I was battered, exhausted and sick of the human race. On one occasion, this opening allowed a particularly hyperactive man to perform a dance solo, earning him GoldLink’s shirt, tossed from the stage. The mayhem was not the least bit helped by GoldLink’s repeated insistence that the mosh form gaps and holes so that people could rush each other. ![]() This was thousands of people all trying to get to the front row at once, with no regard for the elbowed faces and crushed lungs of those surrounding them. It is an exhilarating element of a high-energy show. Someone leans into you or gives you a hearty shove, and if you catch his or her eye, you’ll be met with a friendly smile. Each comes with its own vibe, but all tend to be good-natured. I have been in metal moshes, punk moshes, hip-hop moshes. But his music in no way warrants the kind of frenzied chaos that ensued over the course of his set. His music is exciting, diverse and well-delivered in a live setting. I didn’t have long to worry about their well-being in the already oppressive crowd before the first song came on and the pit exploded into a violent, swirling rage. It was moments before the start of his set that I heard a young voice behind me and turned to see a small cluster of children, none of which could have been a day over 10. As the space filled in with anxious spectators, the 85-degree heat turned the tight crowd into a sweltering, ungodly throng of sweat.įirst on the lineup for the night was Grammy-nominated rapper GoldLink. I got within 10 feet of the front guardrail. The crowd scurried to the stage the moment gates opened to Express’ outdoor venue. I have no doubt thousands of dollars in footwear were destroyed that night in what was the single most unpleasant mosh in which I have ever taken part. The mostly college-aged crowd was decked out in designer shoes of every shape, size and color. The second thing I noticed was the shoes. Some attendees were even wearing the trademark blond wig Tyler dons in the music video for his 2019 single “EARFQUAKE.” Colorful cargo pants, pastel T-shirts, utility vests and floppy hats were the uniform. Stretched out as far as the eye could see, the line was heavily repping Golf Wang, Tyler’s fashion line, or some stylistic approximation. 22 to see rapper Tyler, the Creator on tour for his new album, “IGOR,” the first thing I noticed was the line.Ī group at the front claimed to have been waiting outside the gate since 8:30 a.m. Photo credit: Richard Giang | Assistant Design EditorWhen I arrived at Express Live on Sept. Each unit of measurement has its own importance. Surveying provides an everyday example of parallax. The two positions your finger was at can be used to find the distance from the object. A parsec (pc) is a unit of distance that is often used by astronomers. This is what a survey crew does to figure out land plot boundaries. But before we define the parsec, let’s look at some more familiar units of astronomical distance: the light year (ly), and the astronomical unit (AU). A light yearis the distance light travels in an average Gregorianyear (365.2425 days) in the near-vacuum of space. One unit of parsec is defined as 3.26 light-years after proper calculations. Stellar Parallax: definition - A Parsec is the distance from us that has a parallax of one arc second (parsec pc). The mathematical technique used in the calculation is trigonometry. There have been studies on the topic which explain the reason behind this. A parsec is so large that if you could see that far that you would be looking in to the past. A parsec a unit of distance equal to about 19 trillion miles (more than 30 trillion km) is more closely related to how astronomers go about the business of figuring out the size of the. You are looking 3.26 years in the past because it takes 3.26 years for the light to come from a parsec away. Description: The parsec (pc) is a standard unit of distance measure in astronomy. I recommend watching the Khan Academy video Parsec definition which I found helpful.Parsec A parsec is an astronomical unit of length used to measure distances to objects outside the Solar System. One parsec is the distance to a point in space that subtends a parallax. About 3.26 light-years in length, the parsec is still less than the distance to the nearest star, Proxima Centauri, 1.3 parsecs from Earth. Nevertheless, most of the stars visible to the unaided eye in the nighttime sky lie within 500 parsecs of the Sun. One parsec is the distance at which one astronomical unit subtends an angle of one arc second. But before we define the parsec, lets look at some more familiar units of astronomical distance: the light year (ly), and the astronomical unit (AU). The parsec unit was likely first suggested in 1913 by British astronomer Herbert Hall Turner. The IAU also defines other astronomical units: the astronomical unit of time is. A parsec is equal to about 3.26 light-years (31 trillion. A parsec is a unit of distance used in astronomy. of the Milky Way, our local galaxy, the parsec (pc) is the usual choice. It is the distance that light travels in 3.26 years, or just under 31 trillion kilometres (about 19 trillion miles). This is from the definition: a parsec is the distance from the Sun to an object which has a parallax angle of one arcsecond. Distance of star with parallax shift of one arc second from a base of one. Named from an abbreviation of the parallax of one arc second, it was defined so as to make calculations of astronomical distances quick and easy for astronomers from only their raw observational data. One parsec is defined as the distance at which one astronomical unit (the average distance between the Earth and Sun) subtends an angle of one arc-second. Partly for this reason, it is still the unit preferred in astronomy and astrophysics, though the light year remains prominent in popular science texts and more everyday usage. ![]() Home depot rental3/2/2023 ![]() Usually home insurance offers the same coverage as cargo insurance, but check with your insurance company first.
